UptimeRobot monitors websites, servers and APIs and sends an alert when one goes down.
I’ve been part of their marketing team since 2023, looking after SEO. A lot of that time has gone into the knowledge hub: I plan the topics and write the briefs, and our writers turn them into guides.
Its guides rank #1 for informational keywords and show up in AI answers, and organic traffic has kept growing the whole time.
What I worked on for UptimeRobot
- Planning the knowledge hub topics, often from questions people ask on Reddit and Quora, and writing the briefs for our writers
- Keyword research for the free tools, so each one targets something people search for
- Keeping an eye on the technical side and working through fixes with the developers
- Adding internal links between the guides, landing pages and free tools
- Research on AI search, so our guides get cited in AI answers
